Begin with the original.
Every reading record links to a published work or a course journal. The date, venue, byline, and access label belong to that original. These pages are a guide to it; they do not republish the full article or recording.
Original publication dates are kept separate from the date of these reading records. A journal article, a working paper, an interview, an essay, and a prototype are different outputs. Their labels should preserve that distinction.
Give each method its due.
A framework can make a problem legible without proving a causal relationship. An interview can reveal a practitioner's reasoning without independently verifying every claim. A prototype can expose a material constraint without establishing its effect on a user's life.
The comparison tool makes these differences visible. Its summaries, limitations, and proposed next questions are editorial readings, not numerical assessments of quality or declarations by the original authors.
Keep credit specific.
The Frontier State is led by Tushar Kanade and Ira Jackson. Individual episode bylines in the Conversations series are preserved. The AI Infrastructure Triad is coauthored with Paulo Carvão, and its publisher records equal contributions. The fabrication journal is Kanade's course work.
A venue or course affiliation identifies where a work appeared. It does not imply that a university endorses this atlas, its interpretation, or the publication as a whole.
Make interpretation visible.
The atlas's connections are curated from section briefs and selected work. Distance, line width, and position are not measured indicators of importance or strength. Reading paths compare separate cases; they do not trace one project's history.
Polymathy currently enters this edition through its section brief. The map describes its scope without presenting that brief as a completed research article.
A note on assistance and updates.
The reading records, comparisons, and critical context notes in this edition were prepared with AI assistance using the linked public sources. They are distinct from the credited original works and are not new independently reported journalism.
The Fog of War record includes a dated note connecting its early AlphaStar example to a later primary result. That note does not silently revise the original essay. Original sources remain available for readers to inspect and assess.
Continue the conversation.
The original publication is the place to read new work, subscribe, and respond through its available discussion features. This atlas has no email collection form or third-party analytics. Day/night and motion preferences are stored only in your browser; the hosting service separately handles access and may keep operational logs.
